It was super simple – just 4 diamonds, 1 spade, 4 letters sized to fit the diamonds and the number 40 sized for the spade. (I used to create them using stickers from the craft store which works really well too!)įor this Vegas themed party, I added my brother’s name (Brad) and the number 40 to this fun light-up glass from. One of my party staples is a personalized birthday glass, which is super easy to create thanks to my Cricut. I was in charge of all the party decor, which I’ll share in another post. So, after a bunch of secretive emails, 15 airline tickets and 7 hotels rooms at the Planet Hollywood, we all ended up in Vegas for 24 hours of 40th birthday fun. I also used the pearls to cover some areas where the hot glue was showing from gluing them to the base.Ħ. Apply pearls using the hot glue wherever you wish. With the paint and Mod Podge completely dry, apply hot glue to the base clip, and glue the stars down how you want them.ĥ. I think going back I would have used a metallic acrylic paint instead of glitter.Ĥ. After the paint dries, cover the stars in Mod Podge, and then dump glitter on them so they have a little sparkle. You can also skip this step and leave them natural if you so choose.ģ. I decided white would be the most standout for my design. Once you have decided on your stars, paint the starfish in whatever color you want. I ended up going with three smaller stars.Ģ. The starfish came in a variety of sizes, so play around with them to see how they can be arranged nicely. I still have enough starfish and clips leftover to make at least two more accessories! How-To The total price for materials I didn’t already have was less than $5. I already had everything but the starfish and the clips, and I used a 40% off coupon on the starfish.
